Piotr Jaworski is a Polish conductor, pianist and répétiteur currently engaged at the Staatsoper Hannover. In the 2025/26 season, he will conduct over 30 performances there, including Swan Lake, Tosca and The Barber of Seville. He also serves as guest conductor of the Orchestra Filarmonica Pugliese (OFP) and the Orchestra Sinfonica di Lecce e del Salento (OLES) in Italy, music director of the Schloss Tabor Opera Festival in Austria and assistant conductor at the Baltic Opera Festival in Sopot (2023, 2024). In June 2025, he made his conducting debut there with Salome and the Sinfonia Varsovia. From 2022 to 2024, he worked as a vocal coach at the Vienna State Opera, and was artistic director of the Stadtorchester Pressbaum and Camerata Musica Wien. In June 2024, Piotr Jaworski conducted the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSO) in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna and in May 2025, he made his debut at Bühnen Bern with The Magic Flute.

Piotr Jaworski completed his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where he studied orchestral conducting with Andrés Orozco-Estrada and opera coaching with Andreas Henning. At the same time, he earned a doctorate in piano performance at the Academy of Music in Kraków under Piotr Machnik (dissertation topic: Liszt’s opera transcriptions). From 2019 to 2022, he also studied orchestral conducting with Johannes Wildner in Vienna, and completed a Master’s degree in piano (with Piotr Machnik) and a Bachelor’s degree in conducting (with Maciej Tworek) at the Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków. His education was further enriched by masterclasses with, among others, Jorma Panula, Marin Alsop, Brigitte Fassbender, Benjamin Bernheim, Tomasz Konieczny, Helmut Deutsch and Paul Badura-Skoda. He is also a prizewinner of numerous conducting, piano, and lied competitions.

He has collaborated with renowned orchestras across Europe, including the RSO Vienna, Staatsorchester Hannover, Berner Symphonieorchester, North Bohemian Philharmonic Teplice, Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Filarmonica Pugliese (OFP), Junge Philharmonie Brandenburg, Kraków Philharmonic Orchestra, Beethoven Academy Orchestra (OAB), Sinfonia Varsovia, Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica di Lecce e del Salento (OLES), Camerata Musica Wien, Stadtorchester Pressbaum, Webern Chamber Philharmonic, Pro Arte Orchestra, the orchestra of the Kharkiv State Opera and the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra.

As an assistant conductor, he has worked with Martin Fischer-Dieskau, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Yoel Gamzou, Erich Polz, and Marek Janowski on various projects and festivals, including the Baltic Opera Festival in Sopot, Sacrum Profanum in Kraków, Singfest in Wiener Neustadt, and the Opera Burg Gars in Gars am Kamp.

Piotr Jaworski speaks six languages fluently: Polish, English, German, Italian, French and Russian.
